Being a forest engineer is one of the ways to help the world in a lot of aspect of flora, fauna and biotic components, through a balance between obtaining their services and conserving them; which is very important, because our existence and well being depends on nature. That is one of the many reasons that motivated me to study forestry engineering, I love the fact of constantly interacting with nature and getting to know it more every day. My idea has always been to see a change for the better in the world, and to be part of it, that is why when I am already become a professional I will seek to help in the conservation and recovery of different species of plants and animals; for that I want to have a greater specialization in terms of fauna. At the same time I want to guide and inform people, so that awareness is generated that everything has his limits, that way we can all be part of a change where our generation and future generations can have and enjoy nature.

Today I'm going to talk about my pets. I have 6 dogs (soon we will have 7 because we are going to adopt another jeje) and 3 cats.  In the following lines I will introduce each one: Almendra is 3 years old, we adopted her when she was two months old, she's the alpha, she's a very intelligent and physically capable dog. Meche (María Mercedes hahaha) is 6 years old, she is a very playful fox terrier and breaks things but her previous family didn't have patience for her, so we received her when she was 4 years old.  Princesa is 5 years old, she lived in a workshop where no one ever bothered to sterilize her; we got tired of seeing her like this and we adopted/stole her when she was 2 years old hahaha, she is a sweetheart, too affectionate.  Leona is 2 years old, she is part of the last calving that princess had before coming with us. Since she was 6 months old, she has been with us, we knew that if we left her in the workshop she would have babies so we also adopted/stole h...

Post 2: The best holidays ever

Imagen
My best holidays ever were in 2018, with my family we went for a week to La Habana the capital of Cuba. We spent the most of the days enjoying the beach, but also we went to meet La Habana for a entire day, we also did snorkel(was amazing, the fishes were so friendly) and we went to Cayo Ernest Thaelmann, was a beautiful island.   The weather was incredible at the beginning because it was raining and at the same time there was sun, however, in the following days it was terribly hot, not even bathing on the beach or in the pool of the hotel it would pass because the water was warm. When we returned we arrived with a very striking skin color hahaha.   They were my best vacations because we were able to relax and share as a family, we also got to know many beautiful places and things that aren't in Chile; it's very cool to know new places. Two of the pictures are of sunsets, they were beautiful.

POST 1: A country you would like to visit

Imagen
I would like to go to Australia, I don’t know specifically where but I want to go because there are so many kind of species of plants and animals that aren´t here in Chile; for other side I know that in certain way this is dangerous haha. This country has many adventages such as education, salary, economy, infrastructure, natural resources, etc., is a great opportunity. In Australia I would like to go to natural spaces to meet all the species of plants and animals that I can. Also I would like to visit natural monuments and views. Meet new people and different cultures. I would like to live and work (on something that has to do with my career obviously) for a couple years, not all my life because I love Chile and I want to share all my knowledge to the people of here and help to advance as a country.

Post 8: A subject you enjoyed studying

Imagen
The subject that I have enjoyed the most these almost 3 semesters of classes has been a module of the field of abiotic components of ecosystems, with the Professor Benito Martinez, in this module we focus on fauna in general and species of Chile, also on how it's their classification depending on the characteristics they possess. I really enjoyed this module because I have always been interested in the field of animals, and in the future I would also like to work on their conservation, as well as that of flora. I liked learning and understanding in the module where animals come from, their evolution, how they are classified, their physiological and morphological characteristics, and their taxonomy, in short, it's very interesting to know about the animal kingdom. Before starting this module I had an idea of what I was going to work, we had already been studying the same aspects but with respect to plant species, so it helped me a lot to have a good disposition.

Post 7: An expert/person in your field that you admire

Imagen
This has been the most difficult post to do because I admire all the expert in my field, because they know so much, but at the same time I feel scary because I don't know if some day I will be good enough like them.  (I didn't find a nice picture :(  ) However the expert that I admire the most is the assistant professor Benito A. Gonzáles, really I don´t know to much of his personal life, but I know that he graduated as an Agricultural Engineer from the Universidad Católica de Chile and has a PhD in Silvoagropecuarian and Veterinary Sciences from the Universidad de Chile. I only had 1 class with him but I would love to have anothers; the reasons that I admire him it´s because he teach so well, his classes weren´t boring and he always gave us a vibe that he is passionate about he does.
